23 Nov 2008 - Montgo Cross

This is not one of Jan's favour Monday Club walks. It involves a scramble up a valley, then a steep climb on a narrow track followed by another steep climb uphill. Then along a nice easy path for a final climb to the cross. It was very windy and cold, but we had a short break. Then an easier, but quite long, path along the top of Montgo and down back to the cars.

22 Nov 2008 - Smugglers Bay

We would probably not have done this CBMW walk on our own, but Dave and Sue wanted to learn it for their walking clients and asked us to go with them. There was a huge group of walkers, and the pace was very slow.

14 Nov 2008 - Col de Rates

We have done this walk quite a few times before with Dave and Sue, but its a lovely walk and we were happy to do it again. And the dogs seemed to enjoy it too.

12 Nov 2008 - Castells Foyes Valley

This CBMW walk from Castells is another which is new to us. It was a lovely walk in an area we have not done before. The 15km walk was an extended version of the Foyes Valley walk, but too complicated for us to do it again. A few of the Monday Club were there, including Pat and Peter, but no one offered to do it again.

10 Nov 2008 - Col de Rates

This Monday Club walk to Col de Rates was led by Ann, and a slightly different walk than the one we usually do. It was bright, but very windy and cold. So we could not have lunch at the top as we would normally do, and had it on the path coming down instead.

8 Nov 2008 - Tormos to Campell

Part of this CBMW was new to us, which is why we did it. We knew the part from Tormos to Isbert dam, and the way from Fontilles to Campell. But we did not know the way in between. We were also supposed to climb part of the Green Horse from Campell, but the leader could not find the path. Certainly an interesting walk, and one we will do again with the Monday Club.
